A Cap Table (Capitalization Table) is a detailed spreadsheet or document used by companies, particularly startups, to track the ownership and equity structure of the company. It lists all of the company’s shareholders, the type and number of securities they own (such as common shares, preferred shares, stock options, warrants, etc.), and the percentage of ownership each shareholder holds in the company.
